Scientists have come forward with a revolutionary claim that all humans descended from just two individuals. Although this is exactly what was described in the Bible, the scientific community now believes that they have proof that it is a fact. Not only did two people start the human race, but the scientific community also claims that a catastrophic event nearly wiped out all human beings about 100,000 years ago.
To get to the bottom of this finding, teams of researchers examined certain genetic “barcodes.” They didn’t just look at humans when they conducted this study. They examined five million animals from different species, including human beings.
Based on the genetic research it is clear that humans and animals sprang from a single pair. And this seemed to have happened after a catastrophic event that occurred following the last Ice Age about 100,000 to 200,000 years ago.
This solitary pair of humans started it all. And the scientists were able to identify it by the genetic barcodes. This code exists outside of the nuclei in living cells. And leaves a mark on all genes in the following generations.
Not only did humans come from the same pair, but nine out of ten animal species also faced the same type of thing. For example, there was an original pair of lions and an original pair of alligators. It’s almost as if there were only two of every animal on the planet after the catastrophic even wiped much of the life on the planet away.
The study was conducted by Senior Research Associate Mark Stoeckle (pictured above) and Research Associated David Thaler from the University of Basel in Switzerland.
Stoeckle and Thaler, the research scientists who helped author the study, found that ninety percent of animals alive today, including humans, came from a solitary pair of parents less than 250 thousand years ago. They hope their findings through a wrench in the pattern of human evolution that has been accepted for a long time.
Thaler (pictured below) said, “The conclusion is very surprising, and I fought against it as hard as I could.”
“Big data” helped the scientists get to the bottom of this mystery.
Dr. Stoeckle said, “At a time when humans place so much emphasis on individual and group differences, maybe we should spend more time on the ways in which we resemble one another and the rest of the animal kingdom.”
Scientists are mystified that there was a mass extinction around 250,000 years ago. The last known mass extinction at this scaled happened when a meteor crashed into Earth and killed the dinosaurs some 65,000,000 years ago.
Some people hypothesize that the human species needs to die out in order to start over from scratch as it did about 100,000 to 200,000 years ago. But this is certainly a dangerous idea in the hands of the wrong person.’
The study also proved that humans are not only remarkably similar genetically to all other humans but to almost every animal on the planet as well.
